Michał Kowal become the chair of the GANIL Scientific Council

Michał Kowal, our colleague, board member of SFJ PTF, head of the Theoretical Physics Department of the NCBJ Department of Fundamental Research and an outstanding physicist, was elected chairman of the Scientific Council of the GANIL (Grand Accélérateur National d’Ions Lourds) center.

GANIL is the largest nuclear physics center in France and one of the leading accelerator centers in the world.

Nuclear Theory Seminars at UMCS

The Department of Theoretical Physics at UMCS in Lublin conducts a series of seminars devoted to the theory of atomic nuclei, solid state theory, astrophysics and other fields of theoretical physics. The seminars are held on Tuesdays at 10:15 in the Department of Theoretical Physics seminar room and are broadcast online on the MS Teams platform.
